Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of children's memory as eyewitnesses and also the application of child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with several international and national distinctions. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the globe regarding policy and research on child abuse in the justice system. She currently serves as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
