Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great popularity with her stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift developed an interest for musical instruments as a young person and quickly progressed from playing in children's shows to making her debut in public. Swift was just 11 when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match. In the following year she started writing her own songs, and also picked up the guitar. Swift, who took her ideas from Shania's music and that of her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, created the songs of her own to convey her experience with alienation. Swift was thirteen when her parents made the decision to sell their Pennsylvania farm and move to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her efforts to contacting the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
